Remember less than a week ago when it appear the majority of Houston’s in-crowd converged on the House of Blues for The Niceguys live show? Well, Nick Greer of MANTIS (the man I described as a ginger Buddy Holly but could be just as talented given time) just sent over a few of the things they’ve been working on gearing up for their upcoming release party at Walter’s in Houston.

“Nebula Snap” maintains a lounge singer atmosphere with its uplifting piano keys and Greer’s lyrics stating to a particular love interest, “leave it up to me to make a change”. There’s a rumor that change isn’t instantaneous but rather gradual over time. I think Greer’s out to prove physics wrong.

Below is a snippet of the single “Tell Myself” featuring M.S.P. that will be available for iTunes & Amazon on February 14th. Needless to say, its about as anti-love as you might get considering the fact that Greer transforms to the lost member of a rap group on his opening verse. If you want, you can even check out the viral video for it right after the jump.
