You know, I said I was going to sit through the BET Awards this year. Honestly, I did. Instead, I was watching someone beat Michael Jackson’s “Moonwalker” for Genesis. Anyway, besides the “awards” (I don’t think anyone really cherishes having a BET Award on their mantle), there were the performances and there were a bunch of them.

For starters, Kanye West opened the show with “Power”, Drake & Young Jeezy did a medley of “Fireworks/Over” & a remix to “Lose My Mind”, B.o.B, Eminem & Keyshia Cole perform “Airplanes Pt. 2/Not Afraid”, T.I. team up with Travis Barker to do “Yeah Ya Know” from the Takers soundtrack plus Chris Brown giving a tribute to Michael Jackson and the Lifetime Achievement Award being presented to Prince and more. Props to Yardie on the rip footage.
