I don’t know, it’s been a weird ass summer to say the least and in some even stranger news, DJ AM almost past away not too long ago in the plane crash that he and Travis Barker survived a year ago. After looking at my play cousin Megan’s FB page, I knew that it wasn’t a joke and that Adam had passed.

NEW YORK (AP) — DJ AM, the sought-after disc jockey who became a celebrity in his own right with high-profile romances and a glamorous lifestyle, was found dead Friday at his apartment, which had drug paraphernalia in it, a law enforcement official said.

Paramedics had to break down the door to his Manhattan apartment before they found his body at about 5:20 p.m., the official told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because family hadn’t been notified. There was no evidence of foul play, the official said.

I know a lot of people may not be aware of Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein and his collaborations with Barker but needless to say, both of them are dope and I spotlighted one of the tracks from their Fix Your Face series way back in June. So here, in tribute – I hope folks pay attention to the talent he had. Yes, he was one of the kings of sneakers and had plenty of connections, but he’ll definitely leave an abundance of talent in his wake. God bless.
